During the programme
During our Teacher Education in French programme you will learn about teaching methodology, literature and culture of the French-speaking countries, linguistics, and second language acquisition. Further, you will study pedagogics, which focuses on topics like child development psychology, working with pupils with special needs, and working in a multicultural environment. You will also prepare and teach classes and do research at your work placement school. All this prepares you for a successful career in education.
As the teaching population is aging, there are many opportunities for language teachers within Dutch secondary or vocational education, or you can work at a language school in The Netherlands or abroad.
