The Creative Business (CB) bachelor programme is part of the International Institute for Business Studies (IIBS) and is a true success story in international education. We train students to become creative strategists: professionals who combine creative thinking with strategic planning to develop innovative solutions and drive impactful results within the global creative economy. Our team consists of around 70 colleagues, and we currently welcome more than 1100 students from all over the world.
Your Role
As Education Coordinator, you report directly to the Creative Business management team. You form the essential link between education, planning, and scheduling, ensuring that activities, staffing, and logistics are aligned. You bring a constructively critical perspective and actively identify opportunities for improvement.
Your key responsibilities
1. Task Allocation
- Create and maintain the annual task planning (formation) for lecturers.
- Monitor changes throughout the year and optimise task packages.
- Advise the management team and curriculum developers on formation and task distribution.
2. Scheduling
- Process lecturer availability and course activities using scheduling software (knowledge of Xedule is preferred).
- Create timely and optimised timetables, including personalised schedules for delayed and exchange students.
- Ensure accuracy and continuity when changes occur.
- Schedule visiting students.
3. Systems
- Act as a key user for basic support with Canvas.
- set up course evaluations for lecturers in Evalytics.
- Adjust relevant information in our course offering in ACO.
- Maintain the list of approved examiners of courses for the Exam Board
4. Events & Operations
- Organise and facilitate recurring educational events, such as kick-offs, Graduation ceremonies and the Propedeuse celebration.
- Assist in recruitment events, such as Open Days, Orientation Days and Matching Days.
- Collaborate on events with the Student Assistant Pool.
- Take the lead in formation and administrative support for Creative Business.

- A contract for 1.0 fte on a temporary contract for one year (D4); Internal applicants retain their current contract type.
- Depending on your knowledge and skills, your responsibilities and scope of duties will be determined. Based on this, your position will be classified within scale 08, with a maximum full-time salary of € 4.595,29.
- In addition, according to the collective labor agreement for HBO, you will receive a
holiday allowance of 8% and a guaranteed year-end bonus of 8.3%. - A compensation of €300.- gross per year towards your health insurance contribution and an internet allowance of €37.50 net per month for a full-time position.
- If you work in a role where working from home is (partially) possible, you will receive a home‑working allowance of €2.45 net per day for the days you work from home. This allowance helps cover costs such as coffee/tea, toilet paper, gas, water, and electricity. These expenses are submitted monthly. In addition, HU supports employees who (partially) work from home by providing vitality software, a workplace assessment, and—if necessary—an eye examination for a computer screen glasses prescription.
- A public transport card (OV‑Kaart) from Reisbalans, allowing you to travel by public transport free of charge for both work and private use. Prefer to come by car or bicycle instead? In that case, you will receive an excellent mileage allowance.
- We have excellent study and development opportunities via our HU development portal.
- With a full-time employment contract of 40 hours per week, you are entitled to approximately 53 days of leave, including public holidays and mandatory days off. In addition, you receive 45 sustainable employability hours each year.
Of course, we also provide you with a laptop and smartphone on loan to enable flexible and location-independent working. Additionally, you can take advantage of attractive extras such as our bicycle scheme, discounts on insurance, software, and fitness memberships. - Skilled at building relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and service providers.
- A strong planner who can independently oversee events and administrative processes.
Requirements
- HBO-level qualification (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Strong digital skills; enthusiastic about learning new tools.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- Skilled in MS Office; experience with HU systems is an advantage.
