This article introduces the Plug-and-Play Demonstrator, a rooftop test setup that simulates 1960s apartment facades to explore innovative, cost-effective renovation strategies. By integrating design-based learning (DBL), the demonstrator fosters collaboration between students, educators, and industry partners. It serves as both a practical testing ground and a dynamic educational environment for shaping future renovation practices."
